Mumbai, Feb 15 (NationPress) YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, who has found himself at the heart of the ‘India’s Got Latent’ controversy, has released a statement revealing his apprehension regarding potential violence after individuals have intruded into his mother’s clinic.

On Saturday, Ranveer took to Instagram to share a note stating, “My team and I are working closely with the police and other relevant authorities. I will adhere to the legal process and remain available to all agencies. My comments concerning parents were thoughtless and disrespectful. I feel a moral obligation to improve and sincerely apologize. I am receiving numerous death threats from individuals threatening my life and my family’s safety. People have entered my mother’s clinic under false pretenses.”

Despite this, he expressed confidence in India’s judicial system and affirmed his determination to stand firm against those issuing threats.

Ranveer added, “I’m feeling frightened and uncertain about the next steps. However, I am not fleeing. I have complete trust in the police and the judicial framework of India.”

The controversy ignited after remarks made by Ranveer Allahbadia about parents and sexual topics on comedian Samay Raina's show gained viral traction on social media, leading to widespread outrage.

In response to the public backlash, several police complaints were lodged against Ranveer and others involved with the show in both Mumbai and Guwahati.

The cyber cell and Mumbai police are conducting separate inquiries regarding Ranveer Allahbadia's comments on Raina's YouTube program ‘India's Got Latent’.

An Assam Police team has also arrived in Mumbai for the investigation and has engaged with officials from the Maharashtra cyber cell.

Meanwhile, Samay Raina is currently outside India and has yet to face any legal consequences.
