Originally, Allahbadia was expected to meet with the Assam Police the week prior regarding his contentious comments made on the ‘India's Got Latent’ stage, which have incited significant backlash against him.
A formal case was filed against Allahbadia in Guwahati, prompting him to receive a summons to appear before the authorities.
Previously, the Guwahati Crime Branch also interrogated fellow YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani, who has been drawn into the controversy due to his statements on the same show.
His questioning continued for several hours following his arrival at the Crime Branch office.
Authorities queried him about various allegations before releasing him later in the day.
“Chanchlani attended the interrogation at the Crime Branch. He has cooperated with our investigation. We will contact him again if needed, but currently, he is not being summoned again. Others involved in the case have yet to respond to police notices and will receive new summonses soon,” reported Ankur Jain, Joint Police Commissioner of Guwahati.
