Mumbai, March 30 (NationPress) After expressing that he has experienced a rebirth following the controversy surrounding his remarks on the show “India’s Got Latent,” YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia has requested another opportunity and vowed to produce content with greater responsibility.
On Sunday afternoon, Ranveer shared a video on X, where he expressed: “Namaste friends, first and foremost, I would like to extend my gratitude to all my supporters and well-wishers. Your encouraging messages have greatly aided my family and me during this challenging phase.”
He mentioned that there had been a significant amount of violent threats, online animosity, and media coverage.
“I am thankful to the numerous guests from The Ranveer Show who reached out, including actors, cricketers, bureaucrats, and business leaders. In life's lowest moments, one realizes that success is not the only thing that matters; facing failure is also part of the journey.”
“Today, I want to share my sincere thoughts, especially for those who have stood by us over the years.”
The YouTuber reflected: “For the past decade, I’ve released 2-3 videos weekly without fail. This unplanned break taught me patience. I recognized that many Indians see me as part of their family—some view me as a son, others as a brother. I sincerely apologize to all of them.”
He reiterated his commitment to producing content with increased responsibility.
“For the next 10, 20, or even 30 years, as long as I continue creating content, I will do so with a promise of greater responsibility to you.”
He elaborated on the immense responsibility he bears.
“If you regard me as part of your family, that is the greatest responsibility I could have. Many children watch our show. Moving forward, I will approach my work with utmost responsibility. I owe that to you.”
“I also have a responsibility to the 300 individuals who collaborate with me and their families. During this restarting phase of TRS, I have one request for all those who have supported us.”
Ranveer asked for a second chance.
“If you can, please allow me a place in your heart. Grant me another opportunity. I am passionate about content creation and podcasting. Exploring our nation's history and culture is my true calling. That is what I aim to accomplish through my work. When my mental health was deteriorating, meditation, spiritual practice, and prayer revealed to me that ultimately, only God stands by you.”
“Thus, I do not view this phase as a punishment but rather as a chance to learn and transform. If God has blessed me so far, I see this phase as a gift from Him.”
He expressed that he would let his “work do the talking.”
“Many have shown their support. My entire team and family have been incredibly supportive. Throughout this tumultuous time, not a single team member resigned. All our professional and business partners stood by me. I want to express my gratitude once again.”
“I hope that in the next 10, 20, or even 30 years, we can genuinely make a difference in the country through our content and efforts. The quality of our podcasts will improve, and we will return to releasing four episodes weekly as before.”
He concluded: “I am deeply passionate about content creation and our nation's culture. For these reasons, after this period of reflection, I aim to write a new chapter. I hope for your support and that of my entire team in this new journey. Thank you, and I love you all. You will soon witness a rejuvenated Ranveer on The Ranveer Show.”
“The podcast will be back soon. Namaste. Much love.”
The controversy arose from comments made by Ranveer Allahbadia regarding parents and sex on comedian Samay Raina's program, which went viral on social media and resulted in significant backlash.
Video evidence revealed that Ranveer, a podcaster, stated, “Would you prefer watching your parents engage in sexual activity or join them once and end it forever?”
Following the public outrage, several police complaints were lodged against Allahbadia and others connected with the show in both Mumbai and Guwahati. The cyber cell and Mumbai police are conducting separate investigations related to Allahbadia's remarks on Samay Raina’s YouTube program ‘India's Got Latent’.
