Ritwik Bhowmik Describes Naseeruddin Shah as a Remarkably Affable Individual

Mumbai, Dec 18 (NationPress) Actor Ritwik Bhowmik, who is garnering significant acclaim for his role in the freshly released second season of the acclaimed streaming series ‘Bandish Bandits’, has opened up about his experiences with legendary actor Naseeruddin Shah.

In a recent conversation with the YouTube channel ‘Digital Commentary’, he shared, “There was a time when we used to joke with him that, ‘there are so many kids here, we are scared of you. Please don't sit like this’. The entire crew would whisper, ‘sir is here. don't move on the set, don't do this’.”

“I thought to myself, this crew, who usually makes a lot of noise, acts as if he is a wounded lion in the jungle just because he hasn’t returned to the van. However, he was never like that. He is one of those incredibly warm individuals whose demeanor reflects that. In reality, he sits there thinking, ‘come on, someone please engage with me’. While everyone else is tiptoeing around in fear, he is genuinely very friendly, very, very friendly,” he continued.

‘Bandish Bandits’, an Indian musical romantic drama, features Naseeruddin Shah as Sangeet Samrat, the grandfather of Ritwik’s character, Radhe.

The series is brought to life by Amritpal Singh Bindra and Anand Tiwari, known for projects like ‘Go Goa Gone’ and ‘Bad Newz’. It also stars Shreya Chaudhary as Tamanna Sharma, a pop singer, and delves into the discussion of music as both a discipline and a form of liberation.

The show is produced by Still & Still Moving Pictures and helmed by Anand Tiwari, based on a script co-written by Bindra, Tiwari, and Lara Chandni. Viewers can watch the series on Prime Video.
