Sister of Nargis Fakhri Arrested in Connection with the Murder of Boyfriend and His Friend

Mumbai, Dec 3 (NationPress) Nargis Fakhri's sister Aliya Fakhri has been apprehended for the alleged murder of her ex-boyfriend, Edward Jacobs, aged 35, along with his companion, Anastasia Ettienne, as reported by various media outlets.
According to the Queens District Attorney in New York, Aliya, who is 43 years old, arrived at the garage at 6:20 AM where Jacobs and Ettienne were asleep. She reportedly shouted, "You’re all going to die today," before igniting a fire in the two-story garage.
Reports state that Ettienne, alerted by the flames, rushed downstairs but returned upstairs to awaken Jacobs. Unfortunately, the fire engulfed the building, preventing their escape, leading to their deaths from smoke inhalation and thermal injuries.
Media reports suggest that Jacobs and Aliya had separated about a year prior, but she continued to pursue him. Jacobs' mother expressed, "Like any other person that is being rejected, he was letting her know like ‘I’m done with you.”
Nargis has not yet publicly addressed the incident.
However, the actress' mother refuted the allegations, stating, "I don’t think she would be killing someone. She was a person who was caring for everybody. She tried to help everybody," as reported by multiple news sources.
If convicted, Nargis’ sister could face a maximum sentence of life in prison and is scheduled to return to court on December 9.
Nargis gained fame in India with the 2011 romantic drama film “Rockstar”, featuring Ranbir Kapoor. She later portrayed a war correspondent in the political thriller Madras Cafe, along with roles in “Main Tera Hero”, “Dishoom”, “Azhar”, “Banjo”, and “Housefull 3”.
Next, she will appear in “Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1 – Sword vs Spirit”, an upcoming Indian Telugu-language historical action-adventure film directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and A. M. Jyothi Krishna. Set in the 17th century during the Mughal Empire, it tells the story of the legendary outlaw Veera Mallu, played by Pawan Kalyan, and also stars Bobby Deol, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Nora Fatehi.
Additionally, she will feature in the fifth installment of the “Housefull” franchise alongside Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, and Jackie Shroff, among others.
