Vikrant Massey Announces His Retirement: A Final Farewell in 2025

Mumbai, Dec 2 (NationPress) Actor Vikrant Massey, who is reveling in the achievement of his recent film The Sabarmati Report, has made the poignant decision to retire from acting at the age of 37. He shared his realization that it's time to recalibrate and return home.
On a surprising Monday morning, Vikrant, who is set to appear in Zero Se Restart, revealed his plans to step back from the film industry after 2025. He expressed his feelings in a heartfelt note on Instagram, stating: “Hello, the past few years have been incredible. I am grateful to each one of you for your unwavering support. However, as I look ahead, I recognize that it’s time to recalibrate and return home. As a husband, father, son, and also as an actor.”
He emphasized that 2025 would mark the final time audiences will see him.
“So, in 2025, we will meet for one last time, until the time feels right. I cherish the memories from my last two films and many years of experiences. Thank you once again for everything and all the moments in between. I will be forever grateful.”
As per reports, Vikrant is currently occupied with projects such as Yaar Jigri and Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan.
Vikrant completed his education at R. D. National College and made his acting debut with the series Dhoom Machaao Dhoom in 2007. He subsequently appeared in shows like Dharam Veer, Qubool Hai, and Balika Vadhu.
In 2013, he transitioned to films with Lootera, featuring Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha. His filmography includes titles such as Dil Dhadakne Do, Half Girlfriend, A Death In The Gunj, Chhapaak, Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitaare, Haseen Dilruba, and Love Hostle, among others.
In 2023, he took on the lead role of Manoj Kumar Sharma in the biographical film 12th Fail, which became a sleeper hit and significantly impacted his career.
Vikrant married actress Sheetal Thakur in 2022 after they began their relationship on the set of Broken and Beautiful. In February 2024, he joyfully announced the arrival of their son.
He shared the joyous news on Instagram, stating: “07.02.2024, for we have become one. We are overwhelmed with happiness and love to share the arrival of our son. Love, Sheetal and Vikrant.
