Mumbai, April 23 (NationPress) The mystery thriller series “We Were Liars,” adapted from the acclaimed novel by E. Lockhart, is scheduled to debut on Prime Video starting June 18.

“We Were Liars” chronicles the life of Cadence Sinclair Eastman and her close-knit group, referred to as the Liars, during their summer adventures on her grandfather's private island in New England. The Sinclair family represents American aristocracy, recognized for their charm, affluent background, and strong ties. However, a mysterious incident alters Cadence's existence dramatically, revealing that each member of her cherished Liars has secrets of their own.

This eight-episode series features Emily Alyn Lind in the role of Cadence Sinclair Eastman, with Shubham Maheshwari as Gat Patil, Esther McGregor portraying Mirren Sinclair Sheffield, and Joseph Zada as Johnny Sinclair Dennis. They are joined by Caitlin FitzGerald as Penny Sinclair, Mamie Gummer as Carrie Sinclair, Candice King as Bess Sinclair, Rahul Kohli as Ed Patil, and David Morse as Harris Sinclair.

The series is crafted and executive produced by co-showrunners Julie Plec and Carina Adly MacKenzie.

Additionally, executive producers include Emily Cummins from My So-Called Company and the author of the novel, E. Lockhart.
