Is ‘Yadav Ji ki Love Story’ Facing Backlash from the Yadav Community?
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Mumbai, Feb 18 (NationPress) The debate surrounding 'Yadav Ji ki Love Story' is intensifying as the Yadav community in Sambhal district expresses strong opposition to the film's release.
Authorities have filed an FIR against four individuals, including the film's producer, director, lead actor, and actress, following grievances from the Yadav community. They claim that the film has offended their sentiments, warranting a ban on its release. The FIR was lodged at the Dhanari police station in Gunnaur tehsil on Wednesday.
The complaint was initiated by Arvind Kumar, a local from Bhakrauli village, who arrived at the police station accompanied by over twenty individuals, presenting their written allegations. A case has been registered against producer Sandeep Tomar, director Ankit Bhadana, actress Pragati Tiwari, and actor Vishal Mohan.
The current status of the film's release remains uncertain as discussions and protests continue in the region.
A representative from the protesting community stated to IANS, 'In the film, our Yadav community is portrayed in an unjust manner. The narrative does not reflect the valorous history of the Yadav people. No one has the authority to depict our community or religion without consent.'
He also added, 'Pragati Tiwari, who plays the role of a Yadav daughter, is part of this misrepresentation. We demand a ban on this film and will pursue action against those responsible for its creation. Until the film is prohibited, we will refrain from escalating our protests. Our Yadav community knows how to address such matters.'
This controversy arises concurrently with the backlash against the film 'Ghuskhor Pandit', which is facing criticism from the Brahmin community.
