New Delhi, June 1 (NationPress) The Minister of Health and Family Welfare for Delhi, Pankaj Kumar Singh, criticized the AAP on Sunday for drawing parallels between the forthcoming Ayushman Mandirs and the previous administration's doorstep health centers.
"Delhi residents can judge for themselves the reality of Mohalla Clinics versus how Ayushman Mandirs are developing under the guidance of our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi," Singh expressed in a statement to IANS.
The Minister also rebuked AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj for his critique of the BJP government's efficacy, labeling the Ayushman Mandirs as merely a "repackaged version" of the AAP's Mohalla Clinics.
"Bharadwaj appears to be experiencing memory loss. He fails to recognize that the people of Delhi have turned their backs on him and his party in the elections," Singh asserted.
"For a decade, when Delhi residents sought basic water needs, they were given neither clean drinking water nor a clean Yamuna. Instead, they were misled with promises about Mohalla Clinics," he remarked.
Singh further stated that instead of scrutinizing the Delhi government's women's financial assistance initiative, AAP leaders should address the concerns of women in Punjab who are still waiting for the promised Rs 1,000 monthly support.
In earlier remarks, Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva announced plans to begin distributing Rs 2,500 monthly financial aid to women under the Mahila Samriddhi Yojana.
Sachdeva disclosed that the BJP administration has allocated Rs 5,100 crore in the 2025-26 budget for this women's initiative, with a ministerial committee currently developing the policy for its execution.
The city BJP leader accused the Aam Aadmi Party of being a failure during its time in power, a situation that persists in their opposition role.
"While in governance, they misled women in both Delhi and Punjab using the Mahila Samman Nidhi, and now they are attempting to deceive them once more," he claimed.
Sachdeva went on to say, "Kejriwal's disastrous team is protesting about the Women's Honour Fund while questioning us, even though this very group had announced Rs 1,000 monthly aid for women in their 2024-25 budget presented in February 2024. They enjoyed the benefits of governance but failed to provide a single rupee to women throughout the year."
Similarly, the AAP government in Punjab had promised women an honorarium back in 2022, yet not a single rupee has been delivered to any woman even after three years in power.
