"Every day, the health system in Delhi shows signs of improvement," Singh remarked to IANS.
"Our objective is to deliver quality healthcare services to the people of Delhi, whether it pertains to dental care or any other medical field. Dental care is a fundamental service that everyone should have access to. We are broadening these services, marking a positive advancement towards superior healthcare for everyone," he continued.
When asked about the implementation status of the 'Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY)' in Delhi, Singh mentioned, "I cannot provide the exact figures at the moment, but I will share the information after verifying it."
Regarding the enhancements in the Mohalla Clinics, he stated, "I will refrain from commenting on the improvements in Mohalla Clinics. However, I invite everyone to visit our Ayushman Arogya Mandirs and observe the difference for themselves. The citizens of Delhi can directly compare the previous state of Mohalla Clinics with the current status of Ayushman Mandirs."
On whether an audit report concerning alleged corruption in Mohalla Clinics during the previous administration would be released, Singh confirmed that an investigation is ongoing.
"Yes, an audit report is forthcoming. It will be made public, and anyone found guilty of corruption will face consequences," he asserted.
Previously, on April 10, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta reaffirmed the government's dedication to enhancing healthcare infrastructure. She announced the creation of 139 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs under the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission, with an allocation of Rs 1,749 crore for this initiative. An MoU was signed between the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Delhi government to facilitate the implementation of the centrally sponsored scheme, which aims to address critical deficiencies in healthcare infrastructure, disease surveillance, and health research across both urban and rural areas.
