Hyderabad, Nov 4 (NationPress) - A doctor based in Hyderabad was taken into custody by excise authorities after illegal drugs were found in his residence, as reported by officials on Tuesday.
Following a tip-off, the Prohibition and Excise officials, along with the NTF (Narcotics Task Force), conducted a search at the residence of John Paul, a physician in the Musheerabad locality, discovering narcotics valued at Rs 3 lakh.
The suspect was reportedly distributing narcotic substances from his rented premises and allegedly obtained these drugs from suppliers in Delhi and Bengaluru.
During the operation, the STF team uncovered OG Kush, MDMA, cocaine, and hash oil at the doctor's location.
The excise authorities have also implicated three additional suspects in this case. John Paul was purportedly conducting this illegal activity in collaboration with his associates Pramod, Sandeep, and Sharat. They were utilizing his residence to store and sell drugs, compensating him with free narcotics in exchange.
The three accomplices are currently evading arrest, prompting the excise police to initiate a search for them.
Meanwhile, the Cyberabad police apprehended 11 individuals linked to the unlawful possession, sale, and use of narcotic substances.
The Gachibowli Police and Special Operations Team (SOT) from the Madhapur Zone of Cyberabad raided a co-living facility named SM Luxury Guest Room & PG Hostel in TNGOs Colony, Gachibowli, leading to the arrest of two individuals.
Based on their statements, further suspects were apprehended at Hotel Night Eye, Madhapur. Subsequent investigations identified consumers who were also detained. During the raid, the suspects were discovered with narcotics, which they were both consuming and selling to various individuals.
The seized items included 32.14 grams of MDMA and 4.67 grams of Ganja.
Among the accused, seven individuals, including two Nigerians considered to be primary suspects, are on the run. The accused group comprises suppliers, distributors, and consumers.
