Dance Expert and Stock Trader Arrested for Drug Trafficking in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Dec 2 (NationPress) Cyberabad Police have apprehended a dance expert, a stock trader, and an architect for the consumption and trafficking of MDMA.
The Special Operations Team (SOT) of Cyberabad, along with Gachibowli Police, took action against four individuals, including Kanah Mohanty, during a raid at a hotel room.
Although the arrests occurred on Saturday, November 30, authorities disclosed the information only on the following Monday.
The operation took place in Room No. 303 of the Kanha Boutique Hotel. The primary suspect in this case is Gulipalli Gangadhar (28), a stock trader hailing from Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, who has been identified as both an MDMA user and dealer.
Kanha Mohanty (24), a private sector employee residing in Hyderabad and originally from Bhubaneswar, Odisha, has been implicated as both a user and dealer of the drugs. He is known for his role as a choreographer on the well-known Telugu TV program 'Dhee'.
The authorities also detained Kondam Priyanka Reddy, a 28-year-old architect from Hyderabad, recognized as a consumer. The fourth individual arrested, Ogirala Shaki (22), is a job seeker from Hyderabad, also identified as a consumer.
Police confiscated 18 grams of MDMA, one gram of OG Kush, seven grams of Indian Charas, and six cell phones during the raid.
As per police reports, Gangadhar and Kanha Mohanty allegedly sourced MDMA and other narcotics from an unnamed supplier in Bengaluru at a low price and distributed them to users in Hyderabad. During the operation, Priyanka Reddy and Shaki were caught in the act of trying to buy drugs from the duo. The arrested suspects revealed that the drugs, including MDMA, ganja, and Indian charas, were procured from Bengaluru.
The suspects have been charged under various sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (Amendment) Act, specifically Sections 8(C), 22(C), 27, and 29. Ongoing investigations aim to uncover the supplier and additional connections in the drug network, according to police.
The Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau, along with local law enforcement, has ramped up their anti-drug initiatives, particularly in the regions of Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Rachakonda. Their focus is not only on drug peddlers but also on consumers.
