Hyderabad, Aug 3 (NationPress) Six IT professionals were apprehended by the Prohibition and Excise Department of Telangana for allegedly using drugs at a birthday celebration held at a farmhouse in Moinabad, located near Hyderabad.
The individuals were discovered consuming LSD blots, hash oil, and alcohol during the late-night festivities, according to police reports from Sunday.
Prompted by a tip-off, the Telangana Excise Task Force executed a raid at the farmhouse, successfully seizing drugs and imported liquor.
Authorities confirmed that a drug screening was performed on party attendees, revealing that six techies tested positive. The confiscated drugs, which included LSD blots and hash oil, were valued at over Rs 2 lakh, along with three luxury vehicles belonging to the detained individuals.
Legal action has been initiated under pertinent sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act against those caught using drugs, as well as the farmhouse manager.
A gathering had formed to celebrate a friend's birthday at the farmhouse in Moinabad, situated within the jurisdiction of the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate.
Authorities are currently searching for two suspects who organized the party and facilitated the drug supply; they managed to escape prior to the police's arrival.
