Washington, Jan 21 (NationPress) A suspected terrorist affiliated with Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) from India has reportedly been released into the U.S. under the Biden administration, as confirmed by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Harpreet Singh is wanted in India for orchestrating several grenade attacks targeting police personnel and is linked to BKI, a group classified as a foreign terrorist organization.

As stated by the DHS on Tuesday, Singh entered the U.S. illegally via Arizona on January 27, 2022, and was subsequently released into the country under the Biden administration.

ICE apprehended Singh in April 2025, according to the DHS summary of enforcement measures executed under President Donald J. Trump and Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem from January 20, 2025.

The DHS statement emphasized the actions against what it described as the “worst of the worst” criminal illegal aliens targeted by ICE during President Trump’s inaugural year.

“On President Trump’s first day in office, he directed ICE to focus on the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens, including terrorists, gang members, and murderers,” commented Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin.

“We extend our gratitude to law enforcement for achieving record numbers in the first year, which included over 670,000 removals and two million voluntary departures. The DHS remains committed to expelling dangerous illegal aliens from American neighborhoods. Currently, 70% of ICE arrests involve criminal illegal aliens with prior convictions or charges in the U.S. We will persist until American communities are liberated from the threat of illegal alien crimes.”

Since January 20, 2025, ICE has been actively addressing dangerous criminal cases, with the DHS detailing numerous incidents involving alleged terrorists, gang leaders, and repeat offenders.

Among these cases, the DHS highlighted Khor Bozorov, an illegal alien from Uzbekistan, wanted for his affiliation with a terrorist group, who was arrested in Kansas on November 9 while employed as a truck driver.

Another case involves Jaan Shah Safi, an Afghan national who entered the U.S. through 'Operation Allies Welcome.' Safi is accused of providing assistance to ISIS-K and is the son of a militia commander in Afghanistan; he was arrested by ICE in Waynesboro, Virginia in December 2025.

Additionally, Rene Escobar-Ochoa, a leader of MS-13 from El Salvador, was arrested by ICE in July 2025 and is subject to an INTERPOL Red Notice for drug trafficking and conspiracy to commit murder.

The DHS report also included instances of extreme violence, such as Yordanis Cobos-Martinez, a Cuban illegal alien with a criminal record who was apprehended for murder and is alleged to have committed heinous acts, including using a machete in a brutal killing.

Another case involved Michel Jordan Castellano Fonseca, a Venezuelan illegal alien associated with the violent gang Tren de Aragua, charged with homicide in Colorado after a shooting incident.

Moreover, the DHS noted cases involving attempted murder, sexual violence, domestic abuse, and repeated illegal re-entries, with ICE executing detainers or arrests in numerous violent crime cases.

The DHS emphasized that these actions reflect its commitment to prioritizing criminal illegal aliens who threaten public safety, reiterating that “70% of ICE arrests are of criminal illegal aliens convicted or charged with crimes in the U.S.”
