Four Lives Lost in Truck Accident in Cameroon

Yaounde, Dec 7 (NationPress) A tragic incident has claimed the lives of four individuals and resulted in multiple injuries following a collision between two trucks in the Center Region of Cameroon, as reported by local law enforcement and onlookers.

The collision took place early Friday in the town of Ayos, located in the Nyong and Mfoumou Division of the region, according to the Xinhua news agency.

Authorities indicated that one truck, which was carrying goods, attempted to dodge a motorcycle and subsequently collided with another truck that was loaded with containers.

The deceased and the injured have been transported to a nearby medical facility, and investigations are currently underway to ascertain the cause of this tragic accident, the police stated.

According to the Transport Ministry, approximately 1,500 people lose their lives in road accidents annually in this central African country.
