The dialogue centered on leveraging Luxembourg's expertise in green bonds and sustainable finance as Gujarat aims to enhance its presence in the sectors of green energy, green financing, and green growth.

The meeting was characterized as a courtesy visit from the Luxembourg delegation, with Chief Minister Patel highlighting, "With the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Gujarat has consistently demonstrated sound financial management and is poised to spearhead initiatives in green energy and growth."

He expressed the state's eagerness to learn from Luxembourg's experiences in green bonds and financing, aiming to bolster its agenda for sustainable development.

Furthermore, Patel referenced the Prime Minister's focus on renewable energy and Mission LiFE, asserting that "the vision for environmentally sustainable lifestyles and green growth can be propelled through municipal green bonds, long-term infrastructure projects, and frameworks for sustainable development."

He encouraged both parties to identify opportunities for collaboration in these fields.

Minister Roth remarked, "Luxembourg, home to 115 banks and managing assets totaling €8 trillion, has a footprint in investment and financial services across approximately 80 nations."

He expressed a desire to deepen financial relations with India and specifically with Gujarat.

Roth also indicated Luxembourg's interest in boosting investments within the international finance sector at GIFT City in Ahmedabad.

Chief Minister Patel extended an invitation to the Luxembourg delegation for the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit set for January 2027, along with regional conferences for South and Central Gujarat scheduled for April and June 2026.
