Beirut, December 1 (NationPress) - Two individuals have been confirmed dead and six others injured following Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon, as per reports from Lebanese official and military sources.
The Public Health Emergency Operations Center of the Ministry of Public Health reported in separate statements on Saturday that an Israeli airstrike targeted a vehicle in the village of Majdal Zoun, injuring three people, including a 7-year-old child, according to the Xinhua news agency.
Furthermore, it was noted that a citizen sustained injuries during an Israeli raid on the village of Al-Bissariyeh.
In addition, the official National News Agency reported that an Israeli assault on the village of Rab El Thalathine resulted in two fatalities and two injuries, with artillery fire noted at the Taybeh water project.
A Lebanese military source informed Xinhua that an Israeli unit progressed approximately 4 km from the border village of Kafr Kila to the village of Deir Mimas, situated east of southern Lebanon, before retracting to its surroundings and positioning itself 1 km from the eastern bank of the Litani River, from which the Israeli army demands Hezbollah to withdraw.
Earlier on the same day, the Israeli Air Force executed airstrikes targeting four Hezbollah installations in southwestern and southern Lebanon, as stated by the Israel Defense Forces, three days after a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah was established.
The ceasefire, which commenced on Wednesday, has largely been upheld, although minor violations have been reported from both sides in border regions.
