Five Individuals Lose Their Lives and Six Others Hurt in Recent Israeli Airstrikes on Lebanon Despite Ceasefire

Beirut, Dec 8 (NationPress) Four individuals were killed and six others injured in an Israeli airstrike targeting the village of Beit Lif in the Bint Jbeil district of southern Lebanon, according to the Lebanese National News Agency (NNA).
Additionally, a person lost their life in an Israeli airstrike aimed at a motorbike in the village of Deir Siriane in southern Lebanon, reported by the Xinhua news agency citing NNA.
The NNA also disclosed that Civil Defence teams recovered the remains of four Syrians who were killed on November 24 during an Israeli airstrike that struck a residential building in the Basta neighborhood of Beirut.
A ceasefire, facilitated by the US and France, came into effect on November 27, aiming to put an end to nearly 14 months of conflict between Israel and the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah.
According to the agreement, both parties consented to a 60-day halt in hostilities, with Israel gradually withdrawing its forces from southern Lebanon while Hezbollah retreated north of the Litani River.
Despite this truce, tensions persist as both parties trade allegations of ceasefire breaches, raising doubts about the sustainability of the agreement.
