Gaza, Feb 10 (NationPress) Israeli soldiers have claimed the lives of four Palestinians, including an elderly woman, in two distinct incidents across the northern and southern regions of the Gaza Strip, according to health authorities in Gaza.

According to a press release, three Palestinians were fatally shot by Israeli forces as they were heading back to their homes near the Kuwait Roundabout, located to the east of Gaza City. Their remains were subsequently transported to the Baptist Hospital.

In another event, health authorities disclosed that an elderly woman from the Mahna family was killed by Israeli forces east of Al-Qarara, close to Khan Younis in southern Gaza on Sunday, as reported by the Xinhua news agency.

This violence unfolds following the Israeli military's withdrawal from the Netzarim Corridor, a land strip that divides Gaza from north to south.

Moreover, health authorities have reported that the fatality count from Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7, 2023, has surged to 48,189, with an additional 111,640 individuals injured.

In the last 24 hours, the health authorities recorded eight fatalities and two injuries, which include seven bodies retrieved from the debris and one further death.

They cautioned that additional victims may still be trapped under the rubble in areas that are hard to reach due to persistent shelling.

On Sunday, health authorities appealed to Palestinian citizens to contribute blood, cautioning that supplies have been entirely exhausted after 15 months of conflict.

“Our blood bank is empty, and we require immediate donations to save lives,” they stated.
