Mahmoud Basal, the spokesperson for Civil Defence, informed Xinhua news agency on Sunday that among the deceased were seven individuals who died from Israeli shelling near the Baptist Hospital in Gaza City, while one person was killed in an Israeli strike on a residence located in the Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of the city.
