Washington, Feb 14 (NationPress) During a joint press conference with President Donald Trump, Prime Minister Narendra Modi articulated India's aspiration of 'Make India Great Again' (MIGA), a phrase that draws inspiration from Trump's well-known slogan 'Make America Great Again' (MAGA).

As per PM Modi, the collaboration of 'MAGA' and 'MIGA' results in a remarkable partnership aimed at prosperity.

"The American populace is familiar with President Trump's motto 'MAGA - Make America Great Again.' Likewise, the citizens of India are concentrating on their heritage and progress as they rapidly advance with a strong commitment towards achieving Viksit Bharat 2047. In American terms, it's Make India Great Again - MIGA. When India and America unite, this MAGA plus MIGA evolves into a 'mega partnership for prosperity', which embodies the spirit that amplifies our goals," PM Modi expressed.

"President Trump frequently emphasizes MAGA. In India, we are striving for a Viksit Bharat, which aligns with MIGA in the American context. Together, India and the USA share a MEGA partnership for prosperity! @POTUS @realDonaldTrump," PM Modi wrote on the social media platform X.

The two leaders also revealed that India and the US have established a target of $500 billion for bilateral trade by 2030.

"Today, we have set a goal to more than double our bilateral trade, reaching $500 billion by 2030. Our teams will finalize a mutually beneficial trade agreement soon," PM Modi remarked, noting that both nations are progressing towards joint development, joint production, and technology transfer.

"We will enhance oil and gas trade to secure India's energy needs. Investment in energy infrastructure will rise. In the nuclear energy sector, we discussed expanding our collaboration, particularly in the realm of small modular reactors. America is crucial to India's defense readiness. In the forthcoming days, advanced technology and equipment will bolster our capabilities," he stated.

PM Modi also mentioned that Washington and New Delhi are making strides to finalize a 'mutually beneficial trade agreement' shortly.

As the fourth global leader to visit the US since Mr. Trump's return to the White House, PM Modi met with the US President and billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk on Thursday. This meeting occurred just hours after Mr. Trump announced reciprocal tariffs on all countries, including India.
