Last month, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met with President Macron during his visit to Paris.
In February, President Macron conducted an official visit to India, further solidifying the strategic partnership between India and France. Their discussions included the inauguration of the India-France Year of Innovation 2026 and participation in the AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi.
Earlier this week, PM Modi had a call with US President Donald Trump, where they reviewed the significant strides made in bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors, reaffirming their commitment to enhance the Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership.
They also deliberated on the situation in West Asia, underscoring the necessity of maintaining a secure and open Strait of Hormuz.
“I connected with my friend President Donald Trump. We assessed the considerable progress in our bilateral cooperation across various domains. Our commitment to fortifying our Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership remains unwavering. We also discussed the West Asian scenario and the importance of keeping the Strait of Hormuz open and safe,” PM Modi noted on X following his conversation with the US President.
