Tel Aviv, June 19 (NationPress) Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has revealed that global leaders have shown admiration for the tenacity and achievements of the Israeli forces.
The intensifying conflict between the two nations escalated last Friday when Netanyahu declared the initiation of 'Operation Rising Lion' against Iran, a precise military initiative designed to counter the Iranian nuclear threat.
This operation incited immediate and forceful retaliation from Tehran, bringing the region closer to a potential wider conflict.
"I must inform you that I converse with world leaders, and they are highly impressed by our resolve and the accomplishments of our forces. They are also deeply moved by you, the citizens of Israel, for your strong spirit and unwavering determination," Netanyahu stated while addressing the nation on Wednesday.
Praising US President Donald Trump for his support, the Israeli Prime Minister remarked, "I extend my gratitude to President Donald Trump, a true ally of Israel, for his support in defending our skies. We communicate frequently, including last night, and I appreciate Trump for his unwavering backing."
Netanyahu affirmed that the Operation Rising Lion campaign against Iran aims to eliminate two significant dangers to Israel: the nuclear threat and the ballistic missile threat.
He emphasized that Israel is progressing steadily to neutralize these dangers.
"We dominate the skies over Tehran. We are delivering substantial blows to the ayatollahs' regime. We are targeting nuclear facilities, missiles, command centers, and symbols of the regime," he declared.
"We are enduring numerous losses, painful losses. However, we observe that the home front is resilient. The people are strong, and the State of Israel is more robust than ever. I have instructed government ministries to aid all those affected," he further stated.
Netanyahu also acknowledged that "intense fighting" is ongoing in the Gaza Strip, asserting that Israel will not yield and is committed to accomplishing two objectives: "defeating Hamas and securing the return of all our hostages, both living and deceased."
"Regrettably, in recent days, heroic soldiers have fallen. I share in their families' grief. We extend condolences on behalf of the government and the entire nation. We stand with them. We will persevere until we bring everyone home and ultimately defeat Hamas," he concluded.
