Three Individuals Taken Into Custody Over The Hague Blast

The Hague, Dec 11 (NationPress) Dutch authorities confirmed the detention of three individuals related to Saturday's catastrophic explosion in The Hague that resulted in six fatalities.

The detentions occurred on Monday evening, with multiple vehicles being confiscated during the operation, as reported by the police on Tuesday, according to the Xinhua news agency.

Investigators are assessing if one of the confiscated vehicles corresponds to a description of a car that was allegedly seen fleeing from the explosion area on Tarwekamp Street in the northeastern Mariahoeve district. A charred vehicle found close to the site has heightened suspicions.

Authorities are actively pursuing the investigation into the explosion's cause, which has been categorized as a criminal matter. Law enforcement indicated that their investigation is ongoing, and further arrests cannot be excluded.

Dutch emergency responders finalized their search for victims late Monday. The explosion, which transpired on Saturday morning, led to the partial collapse of an apartment building, resulting in six deaths and four injuries.
