Trump Declares Independence from Foreign Influence

Washington, Jan 21 (NationPress) US President Donald Trump participated in the Commander-in-Chief inaugural ball, the inaugural event following his swearing-in ceremony, where he expressed appreciation for service members and outlined ambitions for military strength and national security.

Accompanied by First Lady Melania Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and Usha Vance, Trump entertained the crowd with a dance on stage.

While addressing the audience, he remarked, "Today, we celebrate the enduring strength and resilience of our glorious Republic. It is fitting that we pay tribute to the individuals who safeguard our nation. Your courage motivates us, your service unifies us, and your sacrifices shield us all."

Trump took a moment to commend Pete Hegseth, his choice for Secretary of Defence.

"Under the direction of our forthcoming Secretary of Defence, Pete Hegseth -- who I just saw and is exceptional -- we will once again establish the most formidable military the world has ever seen," he asserted.

Looking back at his previous administration, Trump mentioned, "We achieved that four years ago, and then it waned a bit, but we are set to do it again -- much larger and stronger than ever before."

He reassured the attendees that the military’s primary aim would be the defense of the nation. "You do not need to be concerned about political motivations. There is only one goal: vanquishing America’s foes. We will not be defeated or shamed; we are destined to prevail."

The President also highlighted the importance of economic strength and national security.

"The economy is set to thrive; we will not allow our friendly and unfriendly nations to dictate terms to us from various angles, including the economy, because we possess something they lack. We will gauge our success not only by the battles we win but also by the conflicts we resolve, and perhaps most crucially, the conflicts we avoid; it’s termed peace through strength. We can evade warfare if we achieve our objectives without it," Trump stated.

Trump forecasted a revitalized global standing for the United States, declaring, "Our allies will hold us in high regard, our adversaries will respect us, and the world will admire the unparalleled greatness of the US military."

"This is poised to be a golden era for America," he added.

During the event, Trump connected via video link with troops stationed in South Korea, discussing the situation with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

"Hello everyone, how is Kim Jong Un faring?" Trump inquired humorously before stating, "He’s a tough cookie, but I have forged a decent rapport with him. How’s everything over there?"

The evening wrapped up with a cake-cutting ceremony featuring the Trumps and the Vances before they proceeded to the Liberty Inaugural Ball.
