UAE Leader and Turkish Foreign Minister Discuss Diplomatic Relations and Regional Stability

Abu Dhabi, December 26 (NationPress) - The President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, engaged in discussions with the visiting Turkish Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan, focusing on the enhancement of bilateral relations and addressing urgent regional concerns.

During their meeting on Wednesday, Fidan communicated the wishes of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for the continued prosperity of the UAE, while the UAE president expressed his aspirations for Turkey's ongoing growth and development, as reported by Xinhua news agency citing the Emirates News Agency (WAM).

The leaders underscored the expanding collaboration between their nations in sectors such as trade, investment, and energy, as noted in the report.

They stressed the significance of teamwork to tackle regional challenges and ensure regional stability, reiterating their commitment to averting the escalation of conflicts that pose threats to regional security.

The two parties reviewed the evolving situation in the Middle East, emphasizing the necessity of intensifying efforts to prevent the spread of regional conflicts that jeopardize security and stability, while pursuing a clear path to peace that guarantees stability and security for all.

Both leaders affirmed their steadfast support for Syria's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the hopes of the Syrian populace for peace, stability, and progress, as stated.

Additionally, they concurred on the importance of unified international efforts to facilitate Syria's reconstruction and ensure its long-term stability.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for National Security; and Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State.
