Quetta, Aug 1 (NationPress) Esteemed Baloch human rights advocate, Mir Yar Baloch, reached out to India's public and governmental enterprises on Friday, advocating for collaboration to harness the "immense potential" of Balochistan.
In his correspondence, the activist highlighted that India, recognized as the world’s fastest-growing democracy and a leader in technology, is Balochistan's "most natural and reliable" ally for development.
"Balochistan, strategically situated at the intersection of South Asia, the Middle East, and Central Asia, holds significant geopolitical and economic value. With over 1,000 kilometers of coastline along the Arabian Sea and its closeness to pivotal maritime trade routes, it serves as a natural conduit to Central Asia, Europe, and the Middle East," the letter articulated.
Underneath its rugged surface lies a wealth of untapped resources: trillions of dollars' worth of rare earth minerals, gold, copper, oil, coal, lithium, and natural gas. Despite this vast wealth, years of exploitation and occupation have left the region in a state of underdevelopment. A free and sovereign Republic of Balochistan envisions a future of economic growth and inclusive development through strategic partnerships.
Mir emphasized that India's talented workforce has a rare opportunity to contribute to the establishment of a "new nation from the ground up". He indicated that Balochistan's long-term development strategy promises over one million job opportunities for Indian professionals across "30 high-impact industries".
According to the human rights advocate, key sectors poised for job creation include the automotive industry, which could generate 40,000 jobs in passenger cars, SUVs, trucks, and commercial vehicles, and the aircraft and aerospace sector, potentially offering 10,000 jobs in fighter jets, helicopters, UAVs, and aircraft components.
Moreover, he noted that other sectors, such as the defense and weapons industry (5,000 jobs), missiles, tanks, rifles, armored vehicles, railways and train manufacturing (20,500 jobs), and electric vehicle (EV) industry (20,000 jobs), present significant job prospects. Additional opportunities exist in construction machinery, energy equipment, electronics, and various other sectors, cumulatively offering vast employment potential.
Mir asserted that Balochistan provides India with more than just trade; it also promises strategic depth, energy security, and regional peace.
