Mahakumbh Nagar, Jan 15 (NationPress) The magnificent and sacred Mahakumbh, organized by the Yogi Adityanath administration, is currently garnering international interest. In a noteworthy initiative, a 21-member foreign delegation representing 10 countries is set to participate in a holy dip at the Sangam on Thursday.

The distinguished delegation arrived in the holy city on Wednesday, with comprehensive arrangements for their accommodation and sacred dip made at the Tent City in Arail, developed by the Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation.

The group will explore the Mahakumbh Mela site, with a heritage walk designed to immerse members in the rich cultural and historical legacy of Prayagraj. They will also enjoy dinner and leisure activities at the Tent City on Wednesday night.

On Thursday, January 16, the international delegation will partake in a holy dip at Triveni Sangam at 8:00 a.m. Following breakfast at 9:30 a.m., they will experience an aerial view of the Mahakumbh area via helicopter. The tour will conclude at 1:30 p.m., after which the delegation will proceed to the airport.

The international delegation features representatives from Fiji, Finland, Guyana, Malaysia, Mauritius, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Trinidad and Tobago, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Additionally, the ongoing Mahakumbh Mela is preparing for a grand cultural celebration from January 16 to February 24. This event, titled 'Sanskriti ka Mahakumbh' (Cultural Mahakumbh), will exhibit the rich diversity of Indian culture through a series of mesmerizing performances by esteemed artists.

The main stage, Ganga Pandal, will feature performances by acclaimed artists from across the nation, including a special presentation by Shankar Mahadevan on the inaugural day.

Beginning January 16, cultural programs will also take place at the Yamuna and Saraswati Pandals, while the Triveni Pandal will host a fusion of cultural melodies from January 21.

On January 16, Bollywood singer Shankar Mahadevan will entertain audiences at the Ganga Pandal, while students from Kashi’s Sanskrit schools will express their devotion through Mangalacharan at the Yamuna Pandal.

The Saraswati Pandal will present the traditional art of Nautanki, with Padma Shri Ramdayal Sharma and his 30-member team showcasing the tale of Lord Krishna’s friendship with Sudama.
