Prayagraj, March 26 (NationPress) As the Yogi government marks its eight-year milestone in Uttar Pradesh, a three-day exhibition has been set up to enlighten the public about various welfare schemes at the District Panchayat Bhawan in the vibrant city of Prayagraj.
On the exhibition's second day, numerous beneficiaries of government initiatives, along with members of women's groups, participated in the event. They expressed that these schemes significantly contribute to women's empowerment and foster self-reliance among women.
In an interview with IANS, a female beneficiary lauded the 'double engine government' of the state. She remarked, "The double engine government has transformed women's lives dramatically. Previously, women were often confined to their homes, but now they actively engage in various groups and support one another. Our financial situations have improved significantly; where there was once only one breadwinner in the family, now we can contribute as well. I encourage all women to step out of their homes and join forces to assist each other."
Another woman commended the double engine government's focus on women's self-sufficiency, stating, "In the past, women lacked employment and often had to depend on others for even the smallest amounts. Today, we are seeing a remarkable shift. Women are now self-sufficient, and this government prioritizes our progress. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to PM Modi and CM Yogi for enhancing women's economic status. We hope they continue their work for women's welfare."
Another participant shared, "Under the BJP government, we are enjoying numerous advantages. In the past, any financial assistance came with high-interest rates, but now we only pay 1% interest. We receive funds exactly when we need them. The schemes initiated by the government have transformed our lives. In the Modi government, we can step out of our homes without fear. The contrast between the previous and current governments is significant."
