New Delhi, Jan 18 (NationPress) On Saturday, the AAP showcased a trailer of its contentious documentary film ‘Unbreakable’ at its headquarters and pledged to distribute the ‘prohibited’ film to every resident of Delhi, aiming to unveil the purported conspiracy orchestrated by the BJP and the Delhi Police to hinder its private screening.

Just hours after the Delhi Police obstructed the screening of the film in Central Delhi, Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj presented the trailer during a press conference, asserting, “Now, we will guarantee that the film reaches the public.”

“There must be something sensational in the film if attempts are being made to prevent its screening,” Bharadwaj remarked, asserting that it was a private screening attended by media and several AAP leaders, including himself.

The 90-second trailer presented by Bharadwaj features comments from former chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, and AAP MP Sandeep Kumar Pathak, along with footage from election rallies addressed by the former Delhi chief minister.

The trailer showcases an interview with Kejriwal where he discusses grappling with isolation in prison following his arrest related to a money laundering case tied to the now-repealed Delhi excise policy.

At one point in the trailer, Kejriwal claims he was denied insulin during his 15 days in jail, endangering his life. In another scene, Pathak is depicted questioning whether there was a scheme to eliminate Kejriwal while he was incarcerated.

The trailer also depicts Kejriwal refuting any wrongdoing, asserting that if he had committed any offenses, he would have aligned with the BJP to safeguard himself.

Furthermore, the film’s trailer emphasizes how a smaller party like the AAP challenged the supremacy of the BJP, the world’s largest political party, by contesting elections against it in its stronghold of Gujarat.

Previously, Kejriwal criticized the Delhi Police and the BJP for thwarting the filmmaker’s intentions to screen the documentary for media representatives.

“The film was not political, and no party flags were present at the location, yet the police prohibited its private screening, citing that no permission had been obtained,” he stated.

The Delhi Police clarified that they adhered to regulations and halted the screening of ‘Unbreakable’ at an auditorium in ITO, Central Delhi, because no authorization had been acquired from the election office, given that the Model Code of Conduct was in effect.

When questioned about the subsequent steps, Kejriwal mentioned that the AAP is considering its options, and in any case, no one can obstruct a film from entering the public domain, subtly hinting at its distribution on social media.

The ruling party asserted that the film's producers had arranged for its screening at Pyarelal Bhawan at noon, but a substantial police presence arrived and disallowed the event.
