Ahmedabad, Feb 9 (NationPress) Highlighting India's growing science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) talent, Adani International School (ADIS), located in Shantigram, held the IRIS National Fair for the year 2025–26 from February 6 to 8.

This three-day national event (Cohort 2) brought together 75 student innovators from 12 states and 24 cities, along with educators, researchers, and mentors, establishing Ahmedabad as a pivotal hub for school-level STEM research and innovation.

During the valedictory ceremony, Rivaba Ravindrasinh Jadeja, the Minister of State for Education, emphasized the importance of integrating research and innovation early in the educational process.

“Research is no longer limited to university labs; it starts in institutions like Adani International School. When students begin to ask questions early and learn to test ideas while embracing failure, they establish a solid foundation for a scientific mindset. Schools must evolve into incubators for ideas and solutions, rather than mere centers of instruction,” she stated.

The fair aimed to extend learning outside traditional classrooms and textbooks, featuring student research exhibitions, structured mentoring, symposia, and public engagement, allowing participants to engage in authentic scientific inquiry and problem-solving.

The event commenced with a Principals’ and Educators’ Conference, uniting school leaders from across Ahmedabad to discuss enhancing inquiry-based STEM pedagogy and experiential classroom practices. Students displayed original research through curated exhibitions, backed by expert evaluation and mentoring.

The valedictory ceremony saw the presence of senior leaders, including Namrata Adani and Amit Singh, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the International Energy Business at Adani Group, who addressed the audience on behalf of the diversified conglomerate.

The successful conclusion of the IRIS National Fair 2025–26 underscored the growing significance of schools as catalysts for early-stage research, collaboration, and innovation, laying a robust groundwork for India's next generation of scientific thinkers.
