Mumbai, Aug 11 (NationPress) Amidst the ongoing dispute between the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and Shiv Sena regarding the guardian ministership of Raigad district, Aditi Tatkare, the NCP minister for women and child welfare, has been designated to conduct the flag hoisting ceremony in Raigad on Independence Day.
The General Administration Department (GAD) issued a government resolution on Monday, outlining the ministers responsible for flag hoisting at all district headquarters. The Chief Minister will oversee the main event at Mantralaya, while Governor CP Radhakrishnan will hoist the flag in Pune.
The NCP and Shiv Sena are currently locked in a struggle over the Raigad guardian ministership, with the Shiv Sena advocating for its MLA Bharat Gogawale, who is also the minister for Employment Guarantee schemes, horticulture, and salt pan land development, to be appointed. Meanwhile, state NCP chief Sunil Tatkare is pushing for his daughter Aditi Tatkare to hold the position.
A similar situation exists in Nashik district, where the Shiv Sena has also made a claim.
The initial assignment of Aditi Tatkare from the NCP and Girish Mahajan from the BJP as guardian ministers for Raigad and Nashik districts was suspended due to discontent from the Shiv Sena.
During his recent visit to Delhi, Deputy CM Eknath Shinde reportedly discussed this matter with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who suggested that Shiv Sena and NCP leaders should resolve the issue through dialogue, as per sources from the Sena.
Subsequently, Shinde and NCP chief Sunil Tatkare convened a meeting. Gogawale stated that if the issue remains unresolved by August 15, he would accept any decision made by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and the two deputy CMs, Ekanth Shinde and Ajit Pawar.
Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, who serves as the guardian minister for Pune and Beed, will hoist the flag in Beed, while Eknath Shinde will do so in his home district of Thane. Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule will be present in Nagpur, and BJP Minister Girish Mahajan will conduct the flag hoisting in Nasik, which is also embroiled in the guardian ministership dispute.
