Mumbai, Jan 21 (NationPress) In light of the tensions among MahaYuti partners regarding the selection of district guardian ministers, the NCP led by Ajit Pawar has taken aim at Shiv Sena, asserting it will not accept personal attacks or criticism directed at state unit chief Sunil Tatkare and Women and Child Welfare Minister Aditi Tatkare.

In response to the backlash from the Shinde faction following Aditi Tatkare's recent appointment as the Guardian Minister of Raigad, NCP's chief spokesperson Anand Paranjpe defended this decision.

He expressed his deep discontent regarding the personal assaults made by certain Shiv Sena leaders, including Bharat Gogawale and Mahendra Thorve.

“The language directed toward MP Sunil Tatkare, Minister Aditi Tatkare, and their family is both inappropriate and condemnable. Such actions undermine the unity of our alliance. Every political group is entitled to share its views in a democracy. Disagreements should be communicated directly with party leadership. The authority to appoint a Guardian Minister lies solely with the Chief Minister. Such remarks could be seen as attempts to instigate unrest and trouble the Chief Minister,” he remarked.

Paranjpe criticized the manner in which activists from the Shinde faction protested against Aditi Tatkare's appointment as Raigad district guardian minister.

He added: “The inappropriate occurrences in Raigad over the past two days are unacceptable. Minister Bharat Gogawale and Shiv Sena leaders such as Mahendra Dalvi and Mahendra Thorve ought to have addressed their concerns regarding the Guardian Minister appointments to their party leader and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde or Devendra Fadnavis. Instead, they resorted to personal attacks on Sunil Tatkare and Aditi Tai Tatkare, which will be met with zero tolerance.”

Paranjpe urged Shiv Sena Minister Bharat Gogawale, who holds a constitutional role, to refrain from causing disruptions to law and order by organizing roadblocks or burning tires, actions that discredit the Chief Minister, who is also in charge of the state Home Ministry.

He confirmed that the government has temporarily suspended her appointment and that of Girish Mahajan as Nashik district guardian minister following Shiv Sena’s objections.

Paranjpe stated that Minister Aditi Tatkare has diligently served the people of Raigad during times of natural disaster.

“During the Maha Vikas Aghadi government, she excelled in her role. Under Finance Minister Ajit Pawar's leadership, the Mahayuti government introduced the ‘Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana,’ which guarantees a monthly payment of Rs 1,500 directly to women's bank accounts. This initiative benefited 2.35 crore women, and Minister Aditi Tatkare's commitment was vital for its success,” he added.

Paranjpe clarified that once the Chief Minister returns from Davos, NCP’s National President and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar will discuss this matter with him.
