Yogi Adityanath Promises to Implement ‘Bulldozer Theory’ in West Bengal if BJP Wins

Key Takeaways
Kolkata, April 18 (NationPress) The controversial “bulldozer theory,” previously utilized against various mafia factions in Uttar Pradesh, is set to be implemented against antisocial elements engaging in extortion, corruption, and crimes against women in West Bengal, according to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday.
“In Uttar Pradesh, the ‘bulldozer theory’ was deployed to dismantle mafia networks and thugs. We plan to apply the same strategy against those involved in corruption, extortion, and other crimes in West Bengal once the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) comes to power. We aim to restore the rule of law,” Adityanath stated during a campaign rally in Cooch Behar district, addressing the upcoming two-phase Assembly elections later this month.
He further remarked that despite opposition efforts, the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya could not be impeded. “In West Bengal, voicing the name of Lord Rama is often suppressed. There are instances when permission for immersing Durga idols is denied on specific days. The current state administration is indulging in appeasement politics,” he criticized.
Adityanath also issued a stern warning, claiming that antisocial elements allegedly backed by the Trinamool Congress should brace for dire consequences if they attempt to disrupt the electoral process through violence. “They should commence their reverse countdown because after the election results on May 4, they will be left with nothing,” he cautioned.
Additionally, he lambasted the Trinamool Congress for the deteriorating economic and industrial conditions in West Bengal. “Over the past 15 years under their regime, more than 7,000 factories have shut down. The unemployment rate among youths has surged to 30 lakhs. Funds sent by the Union government for various welfare and development initiatives never reach the intended beneficiaries; instead, they are siphoned off by Trinamool Congress leaders. This dire situation must change,” concluded Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
