Key Takeaways
Kolkata, April 12 (NationPress) In a strong critique, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath condemned the government led by Mamata Banerjee for its politics of appeasement, asserting that a UP-model approach is essential in West Bengal to eradicate the hooliganism and mafia rule associated with the Trinamool Congress. At an election rally in Sonamukhi, located in the Bankura district, CM Yogi declared that once the BJP takes charge following the Assembly elections, they will implement measures to curb violence.
"Anarchy and lawlessness prevail in Bengal. The goons and mafia of the Trinamool are out of control. In the past, Uttar Pradesh faced riots during every festival, with goons and mafia dictating the terms. However, since the BJP assumed power, there has been a significant reduction in appeasement politics and mafia influence. The situation in UP is now stable and secure, with no mafia or goons left. We need the UP model to end TMC's oppression and mafia rule here as well. The BJP has the solutions for these goons," Adityanath asserted.
The Chief Minister also questioned Mamata Banerjee's silence regarding the murder of a Hindu individual in Bangladesh. He accused her of engaging in appeasement politics, stating, "Vote merchants aim to alter Bengal's demographic composition. A few months ago, a Dalit Hindu was brutally killed in Bangladesh, and while we protested, Mamata Didi chose to remain silent, fearing a backlash from Muslim voters. I urge all of you to prevent Congress, the Left, and the TMC from jeopardizing the future of our children."
He further noted that these groups create disturbances during Durga Puja and Navratri, asserting, "We can no longer tolerate this; we will not accept it at all. Now is the time for collective action to restore Bengal to its former glory."
Adityanath expressed optimism about imminent changes in Bengal, lamenting its current state. "West Bengal is on the verge of significant transformation. It is heartbreaking to witness Bengal's decline. This land, once graced by the teachings of Swami Vivekananda, has suffered under the rule of Congress, the Left, and for the past 15 years, the TMC," he remarked.
