IANS interviewed several beneficiaries and customers who purchased medicines from these kendras, and they expressed their satisfaction regarding the quality and price of the medicines offered at the centers.

Mukesh Patel, a long-time beneficiary, shared his experience: "I've been obtaining my medicines here for the last two years, and the price difference is astounding. The quality is identical to what I would receive at a branded pharmacy but at a significantly lower price. For instance, the medicines I used for my diabetes and cholesterol cost nearly one-fourth here. It's incredibly affordable, and I've noticed no difference in efficacy. The government's support makes it even easier for us."

Jaikishan Chawda, another local who frequently visits the Kendra, shared his savings experience: "I acquire my BP medication for around fifteen rupees, compared to the considerably higher market price. The quality is excellent, and the savings are substantial. I always recommend others come here because it's just as effective as the pricier options. It's genuinely a game-changer for those of us on a budget."

Krunal Singh Rawalji, the shopkeeper operating the Kendra at the government hospital for nearly four years, explained how the initiative benefits the community.

"We provide a broad range of medicines, including those for blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol, and heart conditions, all at 70-80 percent lower prices than in the market. People from about twenty to thirty nearby villages come here, and many from surrounding areas also rely on our Kendra for their medications. The quality is identical to what you'd find at other pharmacies but at a much lower cost. It's assisting numerous families in saving money while obtaining the necessary care."

The Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Yojana aims to deliver affordable, high-quality medicines while also fostering awareness about generic medications. Across India, these Kendras are making a significant impact, and individuals from all backgrounds are benefiting from the accessibility of essential medicines at such reasonable prices.
