Patna, Aug 30 (NationPress) After engaging in the Vote Adhikar Yatra, former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and President of the Samajwadi Party Akhilesh Yadav visited the home of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav in Patna on Saturday evening.
During a press briefing, Akhilesh expressed unwavering faith in Tejashwi Yadav, commending his initiatives that resonate with the aspirations of Bihar’s youth.
“His accomplishments are evident. Tejashwi has already provided jobs, and he will keep delivering in the future. The populace has faith in him,” Akhilesh stated.
He launched a fierce critique of the BJP, claiming, “The BJP is a party that exploits and ultimately destroys. Their modus operandi is to first utilize and then ruin. In Uttar Pradesh, their vote share increased from 36% to over 70% due to voter list manipulation. The Election Commission has become a ‘Jugaad Commission’.”
Akhilesh also congratulated Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi for spearheading the Vote Adhikar Yatra.
“This call for Bihar will resonate throughout India. These leaders have enlightened the public about their voting rights and the alleged manipulations by the BJP and the Election Commission,” he noted.
When queried about the possibility of Nitish Kumar aligning with the BJP post-elections, Akhilesh responded, “The BJP merely exploits and then ruins.”
Tejashwi Yadav, who stood alongside Akhilesh, mentioned that the yatra received an overwhelming response and that Akhilesh’s presence significantly bolstered the campaign.
“Initially, the BJP spoke about securing 400 seats in the Lok Sabha, but that number has now halved. The citizens of Bihar will respond accordingly,” he asserted.
Addressing concerns about infiltrators, Tejashwi stated, “The Election Commission itself has affirmed that no infiltrators were found.”
He also directed criticism at Nitish Kumar, questioning, “What is preventing him from addressing the media? Who are these people and where do they operate from?”
Akhilesh added that the BJP has faltered even on international matters.
“They aimed to establish India as a Vishwa Guru, yet remained silent when Trump imposed tariffs. Currently, our businesses are being taken from us, yet the BJP has nothing to say. It appears tariffs have been imposed on their voices,” he remarked.
Reaffirming his support, the SP chief stated, “There is no doubt that Tejashwi Yadav will ascend as Chief Minister of Bihar. I am not contesting elections here, nor am I in government, but I will fully back Tejashwi,” he concluded.
Akhilesh Yadav participated in the Voter Adhikar Yatra across Saran and Bhojpur.
