New Delhi, Dec 22 (NationPress) BJP National Spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain accused suspended Trinamool Congress MLA Humayun Kabir of being a representative of the ruling party, claiming that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee intentionally motivated him to establish a new political entity to induce division among the electorate.

These comments followed Kabir's announcement earlier today regarding the creation of his party, Janata Unnayan Party, as the suspended MLA from the Bharatpur Assembly constituency in Murshidabad district of West Bengal.

In an interview with IANS, Hussain stated that this initiative is a calculated tactic by the Trinamool Congress to safeguard its minority voting demographic.

"Humayun Kabir is acting as an agent for the Trinamool Congress. Mamata Banerjee has purposefully nudged him to create a party to instigate polarisation, ensuring that dissatisfied Muslim voters do not align with the Opposition but instead choose to separate. This entire plan has been orchestrated by Mamata Banerjee," he remarked to IANS.

Hussain further criticized the Trinamool Congress for engaging in vote bank politics.

"The Trinamool Congress is plotting to foster division to secure a substantial voter base. Mamata Banerjee is indulging in vote bank politics, and the citizens of the state will respond appropriately to the Trinamool Congress," he stated.

The BJP spokesperson also addressed the situation in Bangladesh, denouncing violent acts allegedly executed by extremist factions.

"What the jihadists have perpetrated in Bangladesh is disgraceful. Muslims globally should rise and denounce it. These actions have brought shame to Islam. Those barbaric individuals, masquerading as Muslims, are enemies of humanity," he asserted.

Hussain mentioned that the gravest repercussions of such violence are felt by those who sincerely adhere to Islam.

He noted that the Indian government has expressed concern over the situation and urged the Bangladeshi authorities to take stringent measures.

He pointed out that former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina of Bangladesh has also condemned the violence within her nation.

These remarks emerge in light of a series of alarming incidents in Bangladesh.

One significant event involved the tragic murder of a Hindu man, Dipu Chandra Das, who was lynched by a mob following accusations of blasphemy at the garment factory where he was employed.

Reports indicate that on the night of December 18, Das was brutally beaten to death, his body hung from a tree, and set ablaze after being accused of insulting Islam.

However, Bangladeshi officials have stated there is no evidence to substantiate the blasphemy allegations.

Md Samsuzzaman, Company Commander of RAB-14 in Mymensingh, informed the prominent daily The Daily Star that investigators found no proof suggesting the deceased made any offensive posts or comments.

"No evidence was uncovered indicating that the deceased had published anything on Facebook that could offend religious sentiments," he explained, adding that neither locals nor factory workers could confirm the allegations.

Samsuzzaman also stated that no one had personally witnessed Das insulting religion, and he was forcibly removed from the factory amidst rising tensions to protect the premises.

He confirmed that seven individuals have been detained thus far, including two who were initially apprehended after videos of the incident circulated widely.

Meanwhile, security concerns have also impacted Indian diplomatic efforts in Bangladesh.

Following a violent episode outside the Indian Assistant High Commission in Chittagong, Indian visa services at the Indian Visa Application Centre in the port city have been suspended until further notice.

Officials indicated that visa services would resume only after a thorough assessment of the security landscape.

This decision came after clashes outside the Indian High Commission office on Friday, resulting in injuries to at least four individuals, including two police officers.

Local media reports suggest that the unrest erupted following the death of Sharif Osman Hadi, spokesperson for the radical group Inqilab Mancha, with demonstrators reportedly vandalizing parts of the Indian mission.

The ongoing developments have raised significant concerns regarding safety, communal harmony, and regional stability.

In a separate incident, a student leader from the National Citizen Party (NCP) was shot by assailants in Khulna on Monday, just days after the killing of radical Islamist leader Sharif Osman Hadi, as violence continues to plague the South Asian nation.

According to local reports, the injured individual was identified as Mohammad Motaleb Sikder, aged 42, who served as the divisional chief of the NCP in Khulna and was a central organizer of NCP Sramik Shakti.
