Kolkata, December 22 (NationPress) Humayun Kabir, the expelled Trinamool Congress MLA representing the Bharatpur Assembly constituency in the minority-heavy Murshidabad district of West Bengal, is set to unveil his new political party on Monday.

The announcement will occur in Mirzapur, which is located near Beldanga, the site designated for the future Babri Mosque planned by Kabir.

On Monday, he will also disclose the names of the party's office-bearers and some of the district presidents. Kabir has expressed his ambition to contest elections in over 100 constituencies during the upcoming Assembly elections next year.

He is optimistic that candidates representing his new party will secure a significant number of seats, thereby influencing the formation of the next state cabinet post-elections.

Moreover, he has urged all anti-Trinamool Congress and anti-Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) factions to join forces with him in a concerted effort to remove the current Trinamool Congress government in West Bengal, while ensuring that BJP does not ascend to power.

"My mission is to unify the minority electorate. Our objective is to win at least 90 constituencies, positioning my party as a key player in establishing a new government following next year’s Assembly elections. Otherwise, my aspiration to construct the Babri Masjid in Beldanga may not materialize," Kabir stated.

Additionally, he has indicated that his party will nominate candidates against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in the Bhabanipur Assembly constituency in South Kolkata, as well as against the opposition leader in the Assembly, Suvendu Adhikari, in the Nandigram Assembly constituency in East Midnapore.

While Kabir has yet to announce the name of his new political entity, a close associate mentioned that the options are between the Indian Conservative Party and the Janata Unnayan Party.

However, he has shared his preferences for the logo of his new political organization. According to him, his first choice is the image of a “table”, followed by “twin roses”. If neither is feasible, he will consider a third option," he remarked.

After facing repeated criticisms from the Trinamool Congress leadership, he was formally expelled from his party earlier this month, shortly before the foundation-stone laying ceremony for the planned Babri Mosque took place in Beldanga on December 6. The mosque is envisioned to replicate the original structure in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, which was demolished on December 5, 1992.
