Allegations of Assault by ADM on Badminton Players in Madhepura, Bihar

Patna, Dec 2 (NationPress) An Additional District Magistrate (ADM) is facing allegations of assaulting badminton players in Madhepura district, Bihar, as stated by an official.
The players have reported that the ADM physically attacked them, resulting in a broken racket, a chase, and serious injuries.
“We consistently train at the indoor stadium. After our practice session from 4 PM to 7 PM, as we were about to head home, ADM Shishir Kumar Mishra approached us, requesting that we play. When we explained that we were fatigued and unable to play effectively, he became enraged and struck me with the racket. I fled the indoor stadium, and he pursued me,” recounted one of the injured players, Devraj.
He emphasized that they are district-level badminton players and such aggression from a senior official is unacceptable.
Devraj also mentioned that they suffered injuries to their necks and heads and were subsequently taken to Sadar Hospital for medical attention.
However, when reached for comment, ADM Shishir Kumar Mishra refuted the accusations directed at him.
He claimed that the players used “foul language” towards him.
Taranjot Singh, the district magistrate of Madhepura, informed IANS that an investigation into the matter is currently underway.
“We have instructed the district sports officer to look into the issue and provide a report. The facts will become clearer once the report is completed. The incident took place on Saturday evening,” Singh stated.
