Amaravati, May 4 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu, announced on Sunday that the launch of India's inaugural Transmedia Entertainment City in this region is projected to generate 25,000 jobs and attract significant Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).
Naidu shared the news via 'X', revealing that the state government has formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Creative Land Asia (CLA).
"I am thrilled to declare that the Government of Andhra Pradesh has finalized a groundbreaking MoU with Creativeland Asia to establish Creatorland, India's first Transmedia Entertainment City, right here in Amaravati, the people's capital," his post stated.
He elaborated, "This initiative aims to create 25,000 jobs and attract FDI, ushering in extensive development and empowering local talent to Create in AP & Create for the World."
The Chief Minister emphasized that this premier creative township will serve as a center for film, gaming, music, virtual production, immersive storytelling, and AI-driven content.
"Equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure and global partnerships, along with a Creatorland Academy for youth skill development, AP is on track to emerge as a global hub for the creative and digital industries," he asserted.
The MoU with CreativeLand Asia (CLA) was signed to conceptualize and execute 'Creatorland', India's first Transmedia Entertainment City.
This agreement was formalized during the WAVES summit held in Mumbai from May 1 to 4, 2025.
Creatorland is set to feature immersive theme parks, gaming zones, and international cinema co-production spaces. It is anticipated to significantly contribute to job creation, skill enhancement, tourism, and digital innovation.
Investment projections for Creatorland range between Rs 8,000 – 10,000 crore over the next 5-6 years, aimed at developing a Virtual Studio Complex, featuring AI-based real-time rendering and volumetric capture technologies, immersive theme parks, gaming arenas, e-sports facilities, and global cinema co-production zones, along with a CreatorLand Academy focused on training youth in VFX, AI, gaming, and immersive storytelling.
The signing ceremony was attended by Andhra Pradesh's Minister for Tourism and Culture, Kandula Durgesh, CEO of State Tourism Amrapali Kata, and the founder of CreativeLand Studios Entertainment and Chairman of Creators Inc, London, Sajan Raj Kurup.
