New Delhi, Oct 3 (NationPress) Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah is set to visit Haryana on Friday to launch India’s largest dairy production facility, alongside development initiatives valued at Rs 825 crore in Rohtak and Kurukshetra.

A spokesperson from the state government revealed that during his visit, HM Shah will officially open the newly built Sabar Dairy Plant at IMT Rohtak. This facility, constructed at a cost of Rs 325 crore, will be equipped with advanced machinery, which will be inaugurated by the Union Minister.

The dairy plant is projected to create direct and indirect employment for approximately 1,000 individuals. It stands as India’s largest facility for producing curd, buttermilk, and yoghurt, boasting a daily production capacity of 150 metric tons of curd, 3 lakh litres of buttermilk, 10 lakh litres of yoghurt, and 10 metric tons of sweets.

Additionally, HM Shah will distribute tool kits to 2,200 artisans during the ‘Khadi Karigar Mahotsav’ at Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak.

This event, organized by the Khadi and Village Industries Commission under the Ministry of MSME, carries the theme “Swadeshi Se Swaavlamban”.

During this occasion, he will also hand out modern machinery and tool kits, along with Rs 301 crore as margin money under the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP).

This festival represents a significant stride towards promoting local handicrafts and the Khadi industry, ensuring the involvement of local artisans.

Furthermore, he will inaugurate PMEGP units and later address an audience. In Kurukshetra, HM Shah will launch a five-day exhibition focused on India’s new criminal laws, aimed at assisting lawyers, students, parents, and the general public in understanding recent reforms in the criminal justice system.

The exhibition will highlight the transformations and accomplishments brought about by the new legislation and the contributions of seven distinct departments, organized into ten thematic sections.
