During the 'Sahkar Samvad', the Union Minister of Cooperation announced the laying of the foundation stone for the “Tribhuvan” Sahkari University in Anand district, named after Tribhuvandas Patel. He emphasized, "Tribhuvandas Ji was instrumental in establishing the cooperative movement, which has enabled 36 lakh women in Gujarat to conduct business totaling Rs 80 thousand crores."
Responding to criticisms from opposition parties regarding the university's naming, the union minister remarked, "Despite objections from opposition parties, we chose to honor Tribhuvandas Patel with this name, as he rightfully deserves recognition."
Focusing on advancements in the dairy industry, a key driver of economic progress, the home minister stated, "Cooperative dairies will concentrate on managing cow dung, animal health, and food, while implementing strategies to enhance income through cow dung utilization."
He elaborated that future initiatives will aim for 400 out of 500 families involved in local milk production to join the cooperative.
"The management of animal dung and vaccination services will also be integrated into the cooperative framework. Within the next six months, these initiatives will take tangible form and benefit cooperative institutions," he added.
On the advantages of natural farming, he pointed out, "Consuming food grown without fertilizers and chemicals can reduce your dependence on medical treatments. Additionally, natural farming can boost production. The Cooperative Ministry has established a national cooperative institution to purchase grains cultivated through natural methods."
Further, a cooperative society has been established for exporting farmers' crops, ensuring that profits are directly credited to the farmers' bank accounts," he noted.
