Agartala, Feb 1 (NationPress) Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to virtually distribute job offer letters to candidates who have been selected for multi-tasking staff (Gr-D) positions in the Tripura government on February 5, according to officials on Saturday.
Officials indicated that more than 2400 candidates were previously chosen through various examinations held by the Joint Recruitment Board of Tripura (JRBT) in 2021.
Participating in the event at Swami Vivekananda ground here will be Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha along with his cabinet members.
In a recent social media update, the Chief Minister revealed that in a bid to enhance general degree colleges, 13 principal positions for degree colleges have been announced.
In a different post, Saha disclosed that 201 assistant professors will be appointed for government general degree colleges in the state, with the necessary notifications already out.
Meanwhile, Saha praised the Union Budget 2025, stating that it is an inclusive budget designed to realize the vision of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas'.
He remarked that this budget is exceptional and caters to youths, women, the poor, and farmers.
“I have never witnessed such a budget before. This budget encompasses many aspects, with a special focus on cotton production and maintaining quality. Startups present a significant opportunity to empower the youth with innovative ideas. We cannot offer government jobs to everyone, so this budget emphasizes startups,” the Chief Minister noted.
He further stated that increased medical seat numbers have been prioritized, a revised UDAAN scheme has been introduced, provisions for the development of 50 tourist destinations have been made, and measures to ensure food security are in place.
Saha also highlighted exemptions on customs duties for 30 life-saving drugs and the raising of the income tax exemption limit to Rs 12 lakh, which will significantly benefit the middle class.
“This is a comprehensive and inclusive budget. I want to express my gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. This will realize Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas,” he concluded.
