Amravati, March 26 (NationPress) In a distressing event, Vijay Dilip Nagapure (35), a police constable with the Quick Response Team (QRT) Super Rapid Squad under the Amravati City Police Commissionerate, tragically took his own life on Thursday morning. He reportedly shot himself in the head using his service pistol within the confines of the QRT office.

Nagapure hailed from Dhamangaon Katpur in Morshi taluka and had been residing in Amravati city. An unmarried individual, he had been part of the police force since his induction in the 2014 batch.

According to reports, Nagapure was on night duty the previous evening. Following the conclusion of his shift at approximately 9:00 AM on March 26, he chose to remain inside the QRT office, situated within the Police Commissionerate premises, where he allegedly committed the act.
