Amaravati, Nov 4 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu, engaged in discussions with the Indian High Commissioner to the UK, Vikram Doraiswami, focusing on a variety of topics, particularly the collaboration with UK universities.

During his personal trip to London, the Chief Minister shared on ‘X’ that he and the High Commissioner addressed the enhancement of trade ties, educational partnerships, innovation, entrepreneurship, and the involvement of the diaspora between Andhra Pradesh and the UK.

As per an official announcement, the Chief Minister reviewed options for multiple UK universities to form partnerships with institutions in Andhra Pradesh.

They also discussed the establishment of UK university centers in Andhra Pradesh and potential joint ventures, with backing from the Centre.

CM Naidu conveyed his strong interest in fostering collaborations between UK universities and educational bodies in Andhra Pradesh.

Topics such as partnerships in the fields of life sciences, biogenetics, mineral extraction, and metallurgy were also part of the discussion.

During the meeting, CM Naidu informed the High Commissioner that the state is seeking collaboration in sectors such as Artificial Intelligence, semiconductors, space technology, core engineering, and Marine Industry 4.0.

Additionally, the topic of student exchange programs was brought up.

Previously, at the CII Roundtable, CM Naidu interacted with leaders across various sectors, from construction to education.

“We explored emerging opportunities in Andhra Pradesh and potential collaboration areas. I also warmly invited them to the CII Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam on November 14-15, to delve deeper into collaboration opportunities within our state,” the CM shared.

He held several meetings with industry leaders, extending invitations to the Partnership Summit.

“I had a productive meeting in London with a delegation from Samko Holdings, led by Mr. Sampathkumar Mallaya, Chairman, and Mr. Sailesh Hiranandani, Chairman of SRAM & MRAM Group. We examined prospects for establishing semiconductor and advanced packaging facilities, as well as developing Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to bolster reliable and green energy in Andhra Pradesh,” he stated.
