Faridabad, Feb 12 (NationPress) At the famous Surajkund Mela in Haryana's Faridabad, a collective of artists hailing from Andhra Pradesh has captivated audiences with their stunning leather art. These skilled craftsmen create elaborate paintings on leather, with prices ranging from Rs 600 to Rs 2 lakh, exemplifying a time-honored tradition that has garnered them numerous National Awards.

In an interview with IANS, Shinde Shri Ram Bhai, a seasoned artist in this field, revealed the intricate process involved, stating, "This transcends mere artistry; it is a legacy handed down through the ages. We produce everything by hand—lamp shades, wall art, and paintings—all deeply rooted in a rich cultural background. Each item requires considerable time and effort: smaller creations may take a day, while larger works can span two to three months. A lampshade could be priced at Rs 600, but elaborate paintings can reach up to Rs 2 lakh. This is a true labour of love, refined over many years."
