Anjali Raghav Takes Action Against Obscene Videos with Haryana Women's Commission
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Faridabad, April 2 (NationPress) Haryanvi actress Anjali Raghav, who previously alleged inappropriate conduct by Bhojpuri actor Pawan Singh during a stage performance, announced on Thursday that he has issued a public apology to her.
Raghav recently approached the Haryana State Women's Commission to lodge a complaint against three individuals accused of creating obscene videos.
She clarified that her complaint was not directed at Pawan Singh, stating, "To clarify, I have not filed a complaint against Pawan Singh. My issue is with two or three individuals who created vulgar videos about me."
Raghav alleged that the PR team of Pawan Singh was behind these false videos. She explained, "The situation escalated from the Pawan Singh controversy. In my complaint, I referenced Pawan Singh's involvement, but he later apologized, and I forgave him. However, his PR team subsequently produced these fake videos, which deeply affected me."
She continued, "Now those videos seem to have been removed, likely due to the controversy."
Raghav accused the individuals of misusing her images on adult websites, stating, "My photos were featured on some pornographic sites. I reported this and included those videos in my complaint. Since the issue originated from there, Pawan Singh might be questioned, but it doesn't mean he would be arrested."
She attributed the misconduct to Pawan Singh's PR team, saying, "To protect their client, the PR team tarnishes the reputation of others. Perhaps Pawan Singh consented to this, but he did apologize to me publicly."
Raghav noted, "While some of the troubling content has been taken down, the accused individuals were still producing my obscene videos. I had initially filed a police complaint shortly after the incident, but due to a lack of action, I have now escalated the matter to the Women's Commission."
"Renu Bhatia, Chairperson of the Haryana State Commission for Women, assured me that appropriate measures will be taken against the accused," she stated.
Meanwhile, Bhatia informed reporters, "Anjali Raghav brought her concerns to us. Pawan Singh publicly apologized through various media platforms for the incident in Lucknow, and Anjali accepted his apology."
"That is why we have excluded Pawan Singh from the case. However, according to Anjali Raghav, certain members of Pawan Singh's social media team continue to harass her. She has provided three names and is seeking justice," the Chairperson added.
