New Delhi, Jan 12 (NationPress) The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) has officially opened a new regional office in Raipur, aiming to enhance agricultural and processed food exports from Chhattisgarh. This state is poised for significant export growth, particularly with its premium non-basmati rice varieties and Geographical Indication (GI)-tagged products like Jeeraphool Rice and Nagri Dubraj Rice.

As per the Commerce Ministry, Chhattisgarh also cultivates an array of fruits and vegetables such as guava, banana, dragon fruit, jackfruit, custard apple, tomato, and cucumber, in addition to valuable forest products like mahua, tamarind, and various medicinal plants.
