Guwahati, Jan 16 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, proclaimed on Thursday that the state government is establishing a dynamic environment to foster startups.

Through his posts on X, CM Sarma stated, "In Assam, we are cultivating a thriving startup ecosystem by empowering our entrepreneurs with policies, financial assistance, and incubation services."

He also remarked, "Today marks National Startup Day; a celebration of the remarkable accomplishments of our startups and their vital contributions to the Indian economy."

It’s noteworthy that Assam is preparing to host a significant investor summit called 'Advantage Assam' in February in Guwahati.

The CM indicated that the two-day summit will concentrate on several essential sectors.

"The areas of attention will include infrastructure development, electronics and semiconductors, aerospace and defense manufacturing, renewable energy, hydrocarbons, tourism, food and beverage, fragrance and flavors, and mobility and logistics -- all of which will be prioritized during this edition of Advantage Assam," added CM Sarma.

He expressed that this summit aims to attract additional investments to the state, alongside providing more government job opportunities and entrepreneurship support for the local population.

According to the Chief Minister, the event, scheduled for February 25 and 26, will showcase the traditional Jhumur dance of the tea tribes. He noted, "This summit serves as a platform to present Assam's rich cultural heritage to a global audience while also drawing in investors."

A spectacular Jhumur dance performance featuring over 7,500 dancers and artists will be a highlight of the event. The CM promised it would be a remarkable spectacle.

Preparations for this cultural extravaganza are in full swing. The Chief Minister stated, "We will ensure flawless execution through master training workshops, constituency-level sessions, district-level performances, and final rehearsals in Guwahati." The concert, planned for either day of the summit, is expected to leave a lasting impression on attendees.
